As difficult as it is, if a loved one dies at home, try not to feel like you have to rush. If they have died of natural causes, you will need to contact their doctor to confirm their death or speak to a funeral director. They will help guide you through the next steps you’ll need to take.
Again, take your time. Your cultural and religious traditions might help to decide at which point you’ll want to have the person’s body removed.
It is important to note that a majority of funeral directors are on-call 24 hours and can be of great help at this time. They are there to listen and give qualified support in your time of need.
