Eulogy - Father sample 2 By Jashuva
My father was a Diamond. He was multi faceted. Every side of his life and every thing he did shone brightly and was seen by all.
I don’t know of another person like him. He was always thinking about the needs of all his relatives and friends besides his immediate family.
(Include something unique about your father)
Dad spent all of his life taking care of his family and others and never worried about himself. He was always helping someone fix something. Helping someone shift house, helping someone repair his or her car. It didn’t matter whom, he was there to help.
Dad went through difficult times as a child when he saw his own father pass away at a very young age. His father left behind a huge family of eight brothers and four sisters so the Clarkson (state family name) children came up the hard road.
My father decided at only 18 to leave his own country and try his life in this country. So, with only a few coins in his pocket, he chose to settle in a new country with a totally new culture, people and life. I believe he did all of this because he knew one day he would have a family and wanted them to have a good life.
(Tell about hardships and difficulties your father experienced)
(Tell of meeting your mother - where, year etc)
He worked very hard throughout his life and finally ended up becoming financially comfortable. (Tell of homes your parents lived in, quote a few streets where they lived)
(Tell about business or employment successes)
Dad was frugal but not miserly so he quickly established himself in life, and from that he made life better for others.
My father was a respected man in society, and the numbers here today bare witness of that.
I thank you all for coming today to pay tribute to such an incredible man.
I know my Dad has gone.
I know I can’t bring him back,
So if I can have one wish fulfilled, that would be - (Pause) to be as good a father to my children, as he was to me, and (Pause) be as good a husband as he was to my mother.
