Eulogy - Grandma sample 1

Granny Gibson possessed dignity and pride 
and truly walked in beauty. She 
had nothing but kindness to say about everyone she knew, 
taking a genuine interest in each and every person she knew. 


Granny had many friends, never any enemies. 
That was granny. 

Her family was the love of her life. 
She was a superb cook, 
a gracious ballroom dancer, 
a trained and delightful singer, 
and a beautiful, mellow gentle lady. 
She was what you would call a giver, but never a taker. 
That was granny Gibson. 

She possessed strength and courage, 
gave good advice 
and wise counsel. 
She harbored secrets we will never know 
and suffered in silence many times 
facing life’s trials with determination. 
Yet, she always remained beautiful. 


The pressures and trials of life did not seem to touch her and if they did, it never showed. 
That was granny. 

She adorned all of our lives with her beauty, 
her patience, 
her love, her graciousness. 
Her presence demanded respect from those around her. 
She had an incredible sense of humor 
and her laughter was a joyous sound. 


Her face was like an angel, 
soft and beautiful. 
That was granny. 

She was a unique person
 and I am proud to have known her and to have had her in my life.


She was one of my greatest teachers. 
She has been here for us from our beginning, 
so to not have her will leave a gaping hole. 
 She will live on in our hearts forever. 
If I could describe love, 
It would be Granny Gibson.
