Eulogy - Son sample 2
My son was everything a parent could ever dream for. From the moment he was born, he brought (mother) and I an infinate wealth of love and happiness. He was a gift straight from God and brought pleasure and joy to our lives.
(Recall birth experience of your son)
On the day he arrived, my wife went into labour prematurely. The doctors said both their lives were in danger, and it was a question of saving either the mother or the child. But, fortunately by God's grace they managed to both be saved. It was a miracle, for the doctors too.
Recall funny personality trait of your son)
Right from his childhood he was notorious for doing every possible thing he could to make a mess...
He always managed to do things far above the normal capabilities of any other child his age...
(Recall a story that illustrates the above personality trait)
One day when he was eight years old, he took apart our tape recorder, down to the last bolt. He went on to put it back together again, all without telling anybody what he had done. I was so amazed that he managed to put the whole thing back together again, I didnt scold him, although the record button never did work properly again after that.
I remember he would tell his mother he was doing his homework, then spend the time pulling things apart or playing. When his mother asked if he had been doing his homework he would say no and be scolded. Then he would come running to me wiping tears from his eyes, his other hand pointed towards his mother while he complained that she was mad at him. He was really something. There would be a row and then things would be back to normal again, and he would be up to some other mischief.
(Recall one of your son's best traits)
Despite being so naughty he was very sharp and intelligent. He would always surprise everyone in his class including his teachers, friends and parents. Of course, when his results came out he would score the highest in the whole class. His teachers used to say that looking at his writing skills he should become a poet one day because he writes so well.
(State your heartfelt feelings)
I just cannot fathom the loss of my son and I am not sure what I am going to do. I will miss him for the rest of my life.
